Terms of Service

Terms for AI learning scenes, prohibited content, reporting, moderation, subscriptions, and credits.

Last updated: 2026-10-28

Using the service

These terms govern your use of LinguaFlick ("we", "us"), an AI-assisted language-learning service. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Questions can be sent to support@linguaflick.com.

You must have the legal capacity to accept these terms. If your local law requires a parent or guardian's permission, obtain that permission before using the service.

What the service provides

You can turn vocabulary into learning scenes with AI-generated dialogue, images, synthetic speech, captions, and translations; save and replay completed scenes; and use eligible phrase-lookup, favorites, sharing, and embedding features. Features, quotas, and supported languages depend on the plan and the offer shown at purchase.

AI content can contain incorrect translations, pronunciations, explanations, visual details, or other errors. Review it before relying on or publishing it. It is learning material, not professional advice or a guarantee of language proficiency. Outputs may be similar to other users' outputs, and generated voices or characters do not imply endorsement by a real person.

Your account

Keep your credentials secure, provide accurate account and billing details, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for the content you submit and how you use or share outputs.

Acceptable use and content standards

These standards apply to prompts, vocabulary, scripts, images, synthetic speech, videos, captions, and other content you request, generate, store, publish, or distribute through the service, including share links and embeds. You must not attempt to generate, upload, publish, or distribute any of the following:

  • Pornography / NSFW content: sexually explicit material, sexual acts or services, erotic nudity, and other pornographic or adult sexual content. The service does not offer an adult-content exception.
  • Violence / gore: graphic or gratuitous violence, torture, dismemberment, severe injury, gore, or content promoting, glorifying, or instructing violence against people or animals.
  • Hate speech: content promoting hatred, dehumanization, discrimination, or violence against people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or another protected characteristic.
  • Child-unsafe content, including CSAM: child sexual abuse material, sexualized depictions of minors, grooming, sexual exploitation, or content encouraging harm to children. This includes real, synthetic, fictional, or altered depictions. There is no tolerance for child sexual exploitation.
  • Deepfakes / impersonation of real people: face swaps, nudification, fabricated intimate scenes, or simulated statements, voices, or actions attributed to a real person. These prohibited deepfakes remain prohibited even if the person consents. Deceptive impersonation of people, brands, or organizations is also prohibited.
  • Copyright / trademark infringement: content that infringes copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual-property rights, including unauthorized reproduction of protected works or deceptive use of another party's marks. You must have the necessary rights or another lawful basis for material you submit or use.

Content that promotes or facilitates terrorism, violent extremism, mass violence, genocide, or weapons of mass destruction is also prohibited. Do not submit private information you are not entitled to share, distribute malware or spam, misrepresent AI output as a genuine recording of a real person, or interfere with the service. Do not bypass safety measures, access controls, payment requirements, or generation quotas, including through jailbreak prompts, account resale, or automated requests designed to evade limits.

Reporting content and response times

Anyone, including someone without an account, can report prohibited content or behavior by emailing support@linguaflick.com. Use the subject “Content report”; mark urgent child-safety or imminent-harm reports “Urgent safety report”. This is the same support email linked in the site footer.

Include the scene or share-page URL, project or scene identifier if available, the suspected violation, and enough context to locate and assess it. For copyright or trademark complaints, identify the work or mark, the material in question, and your authority to act for the rights holder. Provide a reply address if you want a response. Do not download, copy, or attach suspected CSAM; report the location and a brief non-graphic description instead. Never send account passwords or API keys.

Our processing targets, measured from receipt, are:

  • Critical reports: suspected child sexual exploitation, terrorism, or imminent threats to life receive priority, with a target initial risk assessment within 24 hours and protective action as soon as the risk is identified. Do not wait for an email reply if someone is in immediate danger; contact local emergency services.
  • Other reports: acknowledgment within 2 business days and an initial review decision within 7 business days. Business days exclude weekends and public holidays.
  • Complex cases: if more information or investigation is needed, we explain the delay and provide the next expected update. A preliminary decision may restrict access while the investigation continues; it is not necessarily final resolution.

We assess reports objectively and limit disclosure of reporter information to what is necessary for investigation, procedural fairness, or legal obligations. A report alone does not establish a violation. Do not knowingly submit false reports or use reporting to harass someone; good-faith reports are welcome even when no violation is ultimately found.

Content moderation and review

Before the vocabulary spelling check, we use OpenAI’s Moderation API (omni-moderation-latest) to assess each submitted word or phrase for pornography/NSFW, violence/gore, hate speech, and child-unsafe content. Terms flagged in these categories cannot proceed; an unavailable safety check stops the vocabulary check so you can retry later. This is a semantic safety check rather than a fixed banned-word dictionary. AI-provider safety rules also apply, and we manually review reports and other identified concerns. Automated checks can make mistakes and do not establish copyright ownership, trademark authorization, identity consent, or comprehensive child-safety compliance.

When we receive a report or identify a potential violation, we record the concern, assess its severity, review the relevant prompt, output, share page, and necessary account or request records, and request further context where needed. Access to these records is limited to people who need it for handling the case, in accordance with the Privacy Policy. For credible urgent risks, we may restrict access to the content before completing the review.

We then decide whether the content breaches these standards, apply appropriate measures, and notify the reporter and affected account holder where contact details are available and disclosure is lawful and safe. Notices normally explain the reason and how to request reconsideration. We may withhold details that expose a child or reporter, compromise an investigation, or conflict with legal obligations.

Enforcement and appeals

Measures depend on severity, recurrence, intent, and risk. They may include a warning, a request to edit or remove material, removing or disabling access to violating projects and stored media, and disabling the associated share pages. Serious or repeated violations may lead us to restrict or stop providing generation, sharing, or account services, temporarily or permanently. We may preserve necessary evidence and report suspected criminal activity or cooperate with competent authorities where required or permitted by law. Severe child-safety or imminent-harm risks may require action without a prior warning.

We do not impose automatic monetary penalties or confiscate unrelated purchased credits solely because a report was filed. Any suspension, termination, or restriction remains subject to applicable law and mandatory rights relating to prepaid services. Removing content cannot recall copies already downloaded or redistributed by others.

If you believe a decision is wrong, email support@linguaflick.com with the subject “Content appeal”, the decision or content reference, and the reason and evidence for reconsideration. Please submit within 14 calendar days of notice; this does not shorten any statutory complaint period. We aim to respond within 10 business days, re-examine the evidence and any new context, and correct or reverse an erroneous decision where possible. When additional time is needed, we explain the delay and expected next update. Your statutory complaint and court rights remain available.

Subscriptions and payments

Prices, currency, billing intervals, included allowances, and relevant charges are shown on the pricing page and at checkout. Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew for the selected interval unless canceled before the next renewal. Annual billing does not mean that all monthly credits are issued at once: subscription allowances refresh monthly.

You can request cancellation through your account's billing settings. After a successful cancellation, recurring billing stops at the effective cancellation date shown there; access normally continues through the paid period. If cancellation fails or is unavailable, contact support@linguaflick.com. Cancellation alone is not a refund request. Price or plan changes will be communicated before they apply where required by law.

Credits and generation

  • A complete scene generation currently costs 10 credits. A scene-candidate round reserves those credits before generation, and its first selected completed scene uses the same reservation. Choosing a different scene for a new complete recording requires another funded generation.
  • Free daily allowances refresh at 00:00 UTC and do not roll over. Subscription allowances refresh monthly, including for annual plans; unused recurring allowances do not accumulate across allowance periods.
  • Credit packs are separate one-time purchases, currently valid for 12 months. They do not by themselves unlock subscription-only features. Existing purchases retain the terms of their original offer.
  • Completed saved scenes can be replayed without another generation charge. Reusing an existing result does not create a new paid generation.
  • A failed generation releases or refunds its reservation under the service's credit rules. This restores eligible credits rather than issuing a cash refund, and does not extend the original credit expiration. Abandoned reservations are released on a subsequent wallet access after the applicable 24-hour reservation window.

Credits are service-use units, not money, deposits, or a transferable currency. You can review available balances and billing records in account settings. Contact support about an incorrect charge or credit balance.

Refund requests and consumer rights

For duplicate, unauthorized, failed, or otherwise disputed purchases, email support@linguaflick.com with the account email and order reference. Do not send full card details. Refund eligibility depends on the offer at purchase, the service delivered, and applicable law; we do not guarantee a refund for every request. Approved refunds may revoke the related subscription entitlement or unused purchased credits.

Nothing in these terms removes mandatory cancellation, withdrawal, refund, or other consumer rights. Where immediate delivery of digital content requires express consent or acknowledgment affecting a withdrawal right, merely accepting these terms does not provide that separate consent.

Content rights and sharing

You retain your rights in content you submit. You give us permission to process, store, reproduce, and transmit that content only as needed to operate the service and carry out your requests, including generating results and displaying content you choose to share. This is not a transfer of ownership of your inputs.

You may use outputs subject to applicable law, third-party rights, and relevant AI-provider conditions. We do not promise that every AI output is copyrightable, exclusive, or free of third-party claims. Our software, brand assets, and other original service materials remain protected; using the service does not give you ownership of them.

Creating or distributing a share link or embed allows others with access to view the scene, including its media and captions. Copies, downloads, screenshots, and third-party embeds may persist after you delete the original project. Only share content you have the right to disclose.

Availability, suspension, and account closure

Generation depends on third-party AI and infrastructure services and may be delayed, interrupted, or fail. We may change features or temporarily suspend access for maintenance, security, legal requirements, or material violations of these terms. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve an issue; urgent security or legal action may require immediate restriction. Any mandatory rights relating to prepaid services remain unaffected.

To request account closure, content export, or permanent erasure, contact support@linguaflick.com. Deleting a library item is not the same as closing your account or immediately erasing all records. Retention and deletion are explained in the Privacy Policy.

Responsibility and disputes

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free AI output and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use. This does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limit mandatory consumer remedies.

Please contact support@linguaflick.com first about a complaint or dispute so we can try to resolve it. These terms preserve your rights under applicable mandatory law, including your right to bring a claim before a competent court or submit a complaint to the relevant authority.

Changes and contact

We update the date above when these terms change and provide notice of material changes where required. Changes do not retroactively remove mandatory rights or alter an existing purchase except as permitted by law. Service, billing, and legal questions can be sent to support@linguaflick.com.
